The Brief

Cognitive overload

Berkshire Maestros had ambitions to grow the charity’s appeal but recognised that to do that, their website needed to really inspire, resonate and engage their potential customers much more effectively. They were looking for a digital solution which replicated how operationally they put their customers first. With their website jam-packed full of information and text copy, it was not user-friendly, and was too organisationally focussed.

An SEO discovery phase was undertaken to not only ensure rankings weren't lost in the redesign, but also to identify opportunities to improve them further for greater visibility.

Making sense of the information

Following a discovery phase where we unpicked Berkshire Maestros’ priorities, audience and goals, we then made a start on unpicking and sorting through the information available to us on the existing site. Through a process of refinement and prioritisation we presented an optimised and user-friendly solution, which aimed to also help them improve their search engine visibility. It included a quiz-like tool allowing users to discover which instrument they would be best suited to learn as a means to engage and convert them more effectively. It has also helped inprove their search rankings.
